Registration fee

Your application will be processed after you pay the registration fee in the amount of 85 PLN.

Your personal account number will be generated by the system after a successful registration for the study program you have chosen. The individual bank number will appear in the Payments section.

The recruitment fee can also be paid via the Autopay platform (instant transfer – a fee is automatically charged: approx. 1.50 PLN). In the dedicated window, you should enter the transfer amount, confirm the transaction, and follow the instructions displayed on the website. The payment should be credited to the candidate’s account within a few minutes.

Candidates can apply for a refund of the registration fee until the 31st of October.

Registration fee can be refunded only in the following cases:

  1. programme was not open due to a small number of candidates;
  2. overpayment;
  3. invalid registration caused by issuing payment after the deadline or a lack of registration for a programme or specialisation or lack of the document entitling to pursue the program.

The fee is not refundable in case a candidate is disqualified from studies due to insufficient results or lack of recruitment documents. The candidate has to withdraw their application in case they want to apply for a refund before they are qualified for studies.

How to apply for a registration fee refund:

  3. Send it to our e-mail address at study@uni.opole.pl

Please note that we do not cover the currency conversion fees or any other expenses related to oversees payments.

Tuition fee

The tuition fee for the first semester is to be paid no later than the last day for submitting original documents in accordance with the recruitment schedule at the University of Opole.

The tuition fee for undergraduate and graduate programmes in Polish amounts to 2600 PLN per semester / 5200 PLN per one academic year.

The tuition fee for undergraduate and graduate programmes in Polish at the Faculty of Health Sciences amounts to 3600 PLN per semester / 7200 PLN per one academic year.

The tuition fee for study rogrammes conducted in English amounts to 3600 PLN per semester / 7200 PLN per one academic year.

Exception: For English Philology (undergraduate and graduate) as well as English in Public Communication the tuition fee amounts to 2600 PLN per semester / 5200 PLN per one academic year.

The amount of fees and the refund procedure have been published in Ordinance No. 33/2025 of the Rector of the University of Opole dated April 17, 2025. The fee amounts can be found in Annex No. 2 to the above-mentioned Ordinance

Information regarding the bank account to which a candidate is to pay the tuition fee is sent via email upon qualification for studies.

Tuition fee for programmes conducted in Polish and English shall not be charged in case of foreigners:

  • residing in Poland and being EU/EFTA citizens or their family members;
  • foreigners who have been granted a permanent residence permit (settlement permit) or long-term residence permit of the EU
  • foreigners who in the territory of Poland have been granted a temporary residence permit (residence permit for a fixed period) pursuant to some special circumstances, referred to in Articles: 159 section 1, or Article 186 section 1 subsections 3 or 4 of the Act of 12 December 2013 on foreigners;
  • foreigners who hold refugee status granted by the Republic of Poland or foreigners who have been granted temporary / subsidiary protection in the territory of Poland
  • holders of the Polish language C1 level certificate issued by the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language
  • holders of the valid Pole’s Card or holders of the formal decision on Polish origin
  • spouses, children and parents of the Polish citizen, if they reside in the territory of Poland

Foreigners can be exempt from paying the tuition fee on the basis of:

  • administrative decision of the rector, director of the PAN institute, or director of the research institute;
  • decision of the Minister or the NAWA director regarding the scholarship holders. Check NAWA scholarship programmes.

The refund procedure has been published in Ordinance No. 33/2025 of the Rector of the University of Opole dated April 17, 2025.

ATTENTION! Tuition fee refunds will be processed after the current recruitment period concludes, starting from October, in the order the requests were submitted.

The tuition fee can be refunded in full only in the case of:

  • withdrawal from studies before the Rector of the University of Opole issues a decision to open the program. The refund application must be submitted to the Office of Teaching and Quality of Education – International Admissions section – no later than September 17.
  • a negative decision regarding the visa procedure. The decision should be submitted to the International Admissions section along with the tuition fee refund application.
  • the Rector’s decision on cancelling a program.

The tuition fee is refundable deducted by ten [10] percent [%] handling fee, in the case of:

  • if a candidate applies for a refund after the decision on opening the program is made (i.e. after September 14);
  • after matriculation, if the student does not confirm the student oath.

When a student applies for a refund after October 1, the tuition fee will be reduced proportionally to the costs of classes which were already conducted. Costs will be calculated from the beginning of the academic year to the day after the submission of the application for a refund.

Refunds are possible only if the applications are submitted before the end of the period for which the tuition fee was paid. If the tuition fee for the first semester of studies is paid, a refund will be possible only if the application is submitted before the winter examination session. By the time the examination session starts, the refunded amount will have been completely reduced proportionally to the costs of classes which were already conducted.

How to apply for a tuition fee refund:

  1. Download the refund application.
  2. Fill-in the chart with correct and complete information.
  3. Send the filled-in chart, the tuition fee payment receipt generated from your bank and other necessary documents (if applicable) to study@uni.opole.pl
  4. The International Admissions section will verify the accuracy of the information provided in the application and inform you whether it can be forwarded for further processing.
