The teaching module is a key component of teacher training at the University of Opole, designed to prepare future teachers to practise their profession effectively. Its primary aim is to develop the skills and competences necessary for working in a variety of educational settings. As part of the module, students gain knowledge of teaching methods, student psychology, as well as the principles of classroom management and cooperation with parents and other education professionals. The significance of the module extends beyond the transfer of knowledge; it aims to foster students\u2019 personal development and prepare them to take on the challenges that come with the teaching profession. <\/p>

Completion of the teaching module qualifies the holder to teach in primary and secondary schools in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Science of 14 September 2023 on the specific qualifications required of teachers <\/p>

    The teacher module consists of the following components:<\/p>

    For courses leading to qualifications to work in primary and\/or secondary schools<\/p>

    • Lectures: 135 hours<\/li>
    • Practical training: 285 hours<\/li>
    • Workshops: 60 hours<\/li>
    • Work placement: 120 hours<\/li>
    • Work placement for the next module: 90 hours <\/strong><\/li>
    • Psychological and educational placement: 30 hours<\/li><\/ul>

      For degree programmes leading to a teaching qualification in a single subject in nursery, primary and secondary schools<\/p>

      • Lectures: 105 hours<\/li>
      • Practical training: 225 hours<\/li>
      • Workshops: 60 hours<\/li>
      • Work placement: 120 hours<\/li>
      • Psychological and educational placement: 30 hours

        <\/li><\/ul>

        The teacher training module lasts three semesters.<\/p>

        Through lectures and seminars, students have the opportunity to attend classes on educational theory, teaching methods and issues relating to child development.
