Qualifications obtained abroad are subject to recognition if they cannot be deemed equivalent to the relevant Polish qualification and professional title on the basis of an international agreement establishing equivalence. The recognition procedure is initiated at the request of the applicant.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-6653\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-6653\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span degree at a specific level?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-6653\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"3\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-6653\"><p>The procedure for confirming completion of studies at a specific level applies to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a foreign national who has been granted refugee status or subsidiary protection,<\/li>\n<li>a foreign national holding a temporary residence permit granted in connection with the circumstances referred to<br \/>in Article 159(1)(1)(c) or (d) of the Act of 12 December 2013 on Foreign Nationals   <\/li>\n<li>a Polish citizen who entered the territory of the Republic of Poland<br \/>from the territory of Ukraine between 24 February 2022 and the date specified<br \/>in the regulations issued pursuant to Article 2(4) of the Act of 12 March 2022<br \/>on assistance to citizens of Ukraine in connection with the armed conflict on the territory of that<br \/>country (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 103, of 2022, item 2600, and of 2023, item 185),   <\/li>\n<li>a Ukrainian citizen residing in the territory of the Republic of Poland, whose stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland is deemed lawful pursuant to Article 2(1) of the Act of 12 March 2022 on assistance to Ukrainian citizens in connection with the armed conflict in that country,   <\/li>\n<li><strong>who has completed a course of study at a certain level but does not hold a degree.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/><\/strong>The procedure is initiated at the request of the person concerned.<\/p>\n<p>The rules governing the procedure are set out in sections 7\u201311 of <a href=\"https:\/\/bdijk.uni.opole.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/114\/zal_do_ZR-93-2023.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Annex to Order No. 48\/2023 of the Rector of the University of Opole dated 27 June 2023.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The relevant forms can be found <a recognition of foreign higher education qualifications and the confirmation of completion of studies at a specific level <\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-6655\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"5\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-6655\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon elementor-accordion-icon-left\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span procedure<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-6655\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"5\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-6655\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/kwalifikator.nawa.gov.pl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KWALIFIKATOR<\/a> is a database that enables the automatic verification of general information regarding selected types of higher education diplomas obtained abroad. It allows users to assess the level and status of qualifications in the country of issue and to find out how a given foreign diploma or academic degree is recognised in Poland. It also indicates the specific legal basis from which the diploma holder\u2019s individual rights derive.  <\/p>\n<p>The result, known as a recognition statement, can be saved as a PDF document. The accuracy of the information is guaranteed by a NAWA electronic signature.  <\/p>\n<p>It is also possible to obtain similar information regarding the recognition of a foreign qualification in Poland \u2013 for example, for the purpose of taking up employment or continuing one\u2019s studies \u2013 by submitting a written application to<a href=\"https:\/\/nawa.gov.pl\/uznawalnosc\/wydawanie-informacji-o-zagranicznych-dyplomach\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> the National Agency for Academic Exchange<\/a> in accordance with the instructions provided.<\/p>\n<p>The recognising institution compares the study programme, the learning outcomes and professional qualifications, the work placements undertaken, and the duration of the course with the study programme, learning outcomes, professional qualifications, work placements, and duration of similar courses offered at that institution. If differences are found in the study programme, learning outcomes or duration of studies, the recognising institution may require the applicant to sit specific examinations or undertake work placements, specifying the conditions and deadlines for these. <\/p>\n<p>If, following the recognition procedure, a degree obtained abroad is deemed equivalent to the relevant Polish degree and professional title, the applicant is issued with the appropriate certificate. The certificate states that the diploma obtained abroad is equivalent to a specific Polish diploma (e.g. a first-cycle or second-cycle degree), conferring a specific Polish professional title (e.g. Bachelor\u2019s, Engineer, Master\u2019s). <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-6656\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"6\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-6656\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon elementor-accordion-icon-left\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-closed\"><i class=\"fas fa-caret-down\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-accordion-icon-opened\"><i class=\"fas fa-caret-up\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-accordion-title\" tabindex=\"0\">Fees<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-6656\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"6\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-6656\"><p>The fees for the recognition procedure are set by the Dean of the Faculty where the procedure is being conducted.<\/p>\n<p>The amount of the fees may not exceed 50% of the maximum basic salary of a full professor.<\/p>\n<p>The fee must be paid into the University of Opole\u2019s bank account within 14<br \/>days of receiving the notice of the obligation to pay for the initiation of<br \/>proceedings<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fees are payable regardless of the outcome of the recognition procedure and are intended to cover the costs of conducting it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The applicant may apply to the Rector for a payment plan for the proceedings. the applicant to sit specific examinations or undertake work placements, specifying the conditions and deadlines for sitting the examinations or undertaking the work
